Our Very Own In-House Artisan Chef Elia Donati

From childhood curiosity to a lifelong commitment...

The seeds of my passion for cooking were sown during my childhood days when I would eagerly join my Nonna and Mamma in the kitchen at the tender age of five. The allure of the culinary world captivated me even then, and cooking became the focal point of my attention. There's an inexplicable charm to it, perhaps because food serves as a conduit for expressing love to others.

In 2013, at the age of 22, I embarked on a journey to Australia from a small town called Savignano sul Rubicone (FC) Italy, driven by my desire to expand my culinary horizons and to learn English.

Over the past few years, I have delved into the realm of gastronomy, working and studying as a Chef in Melbourne. I obtained a Diploma in Hospitality Management, immersing myself in diverse kitchens that spanned various cultural backgrounds, from Asian to Italian, BBQ, French, Spanish to Australian, and Latin American.

Becoming a private chef was an inevitable path for me. Cooking lies at the very core of Italian culture, serving as a means to express love and affection. Food has the remarkable ability to bring people together, tantalise the senses and foster moments of connection. These are the very qualities I aim to deliver to our clientele.

It all began in the comfort of my own home, where I honed my culinary skills. My insatiable curiosity, coupled with my unwavering love for food and the joy of cooking for others, knows no bounds.
